Our Work

NFL: Rush Zone

The Emmy-nominated NFL Rush Zone premiered in 2012 as the top boys action series on Nickelodeon’s Nicktoons.

This groundbreaking production marks the first time an original half-hour animated series has been developed by a major U.S. sports league and a cable network.

Also, it was the first project we fully transformed – we took an existing idea and performed our magic, updating it to best represent the NFL brand in today’s competitive kids market.

Rush Zone combines great storytelling, 2D and 3D animation fantasy and kid-relatable content with key NFL touch points like teamwork and competition.

During each episode, viewers engage with NFL players voicing their animated personas, including stars like New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Detroit Lions All-Pro wide receiver Calvin Johnson.

Today, NFL Rush Zone is finishing its third season and continues to offer kids and families many additional ways to interact with the content from an interactive website featuring our characters to online activities, branded toys and products.

Sea World

For SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, REI is extending the beloved brand into media and character-based entertainment on platforms outside their family of parks. We are also creating new character designs based on animals that are appealing and resonant of the SeaWorld legacy.

REI co-created, packaged and executive-produces two SeaWorld docu-reality series: Sea Rescue and Wild Life Docs, currently airing on the ABC Litton Weekend Adventure block. With a combined 169 episode commitment, Sea Rescue and Wildlife Docs are consistently the #1 shows in the top 10 markets with up to two million weekly viewers.

We are also producers on a direct-to-video franchise and several animated series either in development or airing across the world.

The award-winning Saturday morning TV show tells stories of rescue, rehabilitation and return of sea life back into their natural habitat by the dedicated SeaWorld Rescue Team and partner organizations. Already in its third season, the show has recently been confirmed for an additional two years with an on-air commitment through 2017.

The Jungle Bunch

The Jungle Bunch is an award-winning and Emmy-nominated animated comedy franchise. With fun-loving animal characters showcasing a positive message of conservation, The Jungle Bunchwas developed to serve SeaWorld's brand mission in connecting children with animals and nature.

Wild Life Docs

This series takes the audience behind the scenes of Busch Gardens Tampa where an elite team of veterinarians, technicians and trainers care for the more than 12,000 exotic animals thriving there. Currently in its first season, the show was recently confirmed for an additional two-year on-air commitment with all new original episodes through 2017.

Yonaguni

Targeting a 2015 premiere, this CG animated comedy-adventure series, in partnership with SeaWorld, follows a group of underwater heroes.

The production also represents one of the five TV series REI is developing with India’s DQ Entertainment through 2016 as part of a $35,000,000 slate deal.

Iesodo

Dubbed “The Lion King of Christian toons,” Iesodo is a high quality family and faith-based CG animated series of DVDs. The first release, “Believe” was the number one new kids animated property at Christian bookstores nationally in the fourth quarter of 2013 and was a winner of multiple Telly and Accolade Awards.

With sales hitting an all-time high, Walmart just released “Faith,” our third title in this groundbreaking and critically acclaimed franchise.

DQ Entertainment

We are in development and production on film and television properties with our strategic creative collaborator DQ Entertainment International. We’re currently prepping The Jungle Book theatrical release as well as numerous TV series, which are part of a $35,000,000 slate deal through 2016.

The Jungle Book
We are in pre-production on a reimagining of the Rudyard Kipling classic, The Jungle Book. This big budget CG animated stereoscopic theatrical film, is the first in a multi-picture agreement to reimagine a slate of iconic and timeless classics for the global marketplace.

Lionsgate

We are in production on Tyler Perry’s first feature length animated film based on characters from his incomparable library.

Dentsu

In conjunction with Dentsu Entertainment, Little Battlers eXperience (LBX) will be introduced to American viewers for the first time when it premieres on Nicktoons later this year.

Knowing how massive its Japanese following is, we see big opportunities for the franchise stateside as well. In fact, the IP’s toy partner Bandai America unveiled the first line of LBX construction toys at Toy Fair 2014.

Broadway Video

We are in development with Kenan Thompson on Broadway Video’s first kids’ series, a live action sketch comedy program.

Nick

Nick has served as a distribution partner on our NFL Rush Zone series and the soon to debut LBX.

Billy Green Builds

This series follows the adventures of seven-year-old Billy Green, who – in a solar-paneled vehicle – travels the globe to build environmentally friendly solutions that help animals in trouble. The show will feature music, diverse cultural elements as well as themes of problem solving.

Franklin

We’ve had a unique opportunity in our relationship with SeaWorld to bring their many endearing characters to life in new ways. We recently co-produced two DVD specials leveraging the popularity of SeaWorld’s Franklin, tailored specifically to their brand connection. The first DVD just released at Walmart.
